Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu

- Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to Samburu National Reserve. - 1330 hrs: Hot lunch is served - 1600-1830 hrs; Afternoon/Evening Game Drive Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro river and is situated 350 kilometers from Nairobi sitting at an altitude between 800 to 1230 m above sea level. The Reserve is also the home of ‘Kamunyak’, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calves and also where conservationists George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness, made famous in the best-selling book and award-winning movie Born Free.

Day 3: Samburu- Ol Pejeta wildlife

-0800 hrs; Depart to Ol Pejeta wildlife sanctuary -1300hrs: Lunch is served. Afternoon spend at leisure -1600-1830hrs: Afternoon/Evening Game Drive -1930hrs: Dinner and overnight stay. Ol Pejeta is a 360 km2 wildlife conservancy in Central Kenya situated on the equator west of Nanyuki. The Conservancy is host to the two remaining northern white rhino in the world, who were moved there from a Zoo in the Czech Republic and also the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. Within the Conservancy is Chimps Sanctuary and is the only place in Kenya where chimps can be seen and is home to orphaned, abandoned, and rescued chimps.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta - Aberdare

-0630 hrs; Depart to Aberdare national park -1300 hrs: Lunch is served at outspan. Afternoon drive to the Treetops lodge -1600-1830hrs: Afternoon/Evening Game viewing from the lodge -1930 hrs: Dinner at the lodge. Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake along the Kenyan rift-valley. It derives its name from the local Maasai name Nai'posha, meaning "rough water" because of the sudden storms which can arise. The lake covers an area of 139sq kms and is almost 100ft deep with an elevation of 6181ft. There is no visible outlet, but it is believed to have an underground outflow. The lake region has a different variety of wildlife including with well over 400 different species of birds and a sizable population of hippos. Floriculture forms the main industry around the lake and is also source of employment and income for the local population.

Day 7: Masai Mara

-0730 – 1600hrs Depart with picnic lunch for a full day game drive. The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most famous wildlife park covering an area of 1510sq km and borders the Serengeti sharing the same ecosystem. The reserve is dotted with acacia trees with endless grass plains surrounded by the famous pastoralist Maasai tribe that have inhabited this region for decades. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara National Reserve is the annual wildebeest migration traversing the plains in the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve.
